The Results Are Trickling In-Case Study

Interesting update today. I’ve made no sales yet, but I looked at my web stats and saw that I am getting a couple of unique visitors to the NMOC style site every day. I checked where they were coming from, and discovered I’m on the first page of google!

Case Study Update

I got wordpress working again, and now I officially have a NMOC style site. I am in the process of submitting articles, which is the next step in the system.

I do want to clarify that although I have been breaking this project up over several days, I can honestly say that following the Niche Marketing On Crack system to build your niche site would really only take a few hours, depending on how much niche research you had to do.

I am breaking it up intentionally, and the first time can take a bit longer. But as long as the results are there, this is a fairly simple system for niche marketing.

Please feel free to leave any comments or questions you have, and perhaps sign up for my very occasional newsletter.

Thanks,

Kevin

Case Study: Wordpress Is On Crack!

I’m a day or so behind on my NMOC project, and for some reason WP doesn’t want to cooperate with me. I changed the template to a simpler one that fits better with Andrew’s criteria, but for some reason I am having trouble posting. I can’t add in hyperlinks, and I can’t delete a duplicate post that I made by mistkake.

I’m not having any trouble with my other blogs, so I’m wondering if it is the new version of WP (I haven’t upgraded my old blogs)

At any rate, I’ll try again later…..but not much to report for now.

Case Study Part 3, Niche Site Building On Crack

So my goal for todays portion of the case study was to get my niche site built and online according to the specs laid out by Andrew Hansen in Niche Marketing On Crack.

I started around two and a half hours ago, and as of right now I have the site done, but without any content. His system involves a WP blog and a series of plugins. So in two and a half hours I downloaded WP, uploaded it to my server, found and downloaded the plugins, searched for themes, uploaded the themes and plugins, and added adsense code and an affiliate link.

The longest portion of this was looking for themes that fit his system, and that I liked. I had to make some allowances….I have a right sidebar, and Andrew prefers left. Also,  editing the template to add the adsense code and link was a pain. I suspect that the Wordpress code has changed in the year or so since Andrew wrote the book, which made it a little tougher.

Still, I think I could do it faster, and two and a half  hours isn’t bad considering I had to go back and refer to the ebook constanly.

Between today and tomorow I will be moving onto the next step, adding content and starting to promote.

Case Study One,Episode Two

So a few days ago, I decided I wanted to do a niche marketing case study, and that instead of my usual niche routine I would follow Andrew Hansen’s Niche Marketing On Crack. Read more »

A Case Study and Guru Challenge

The niche site I am currently working on has gotten to a point where I have to let it go a little and see what happens. I still need to do some promotion, but my infrastructure is all in place. To keep me from checking my stats every 5 minutes, I figured I’d start an affiliate marketing case study. Read more »
