History in the Making

Wow. I just posted my very first WSO over on the warrior forum. It’s a simple pack of plr articles/recipes that I wrote on the topic of vegan baking. It’s funny-I’m very confident with food and cooking(I’m a chef offline), but I’m really, really nervous right now.

It was an interesting process, and kind of a microcosm of a product launch. Getting the package together, designing the purchase page and the download page(if you can call what I did “designing”). These types of small projects are worth doing for that reason alone-really get into the process. The action feels a lot different than the knowledge.

I’ll let you know how it goes.

Honest Marketing with Holly Mann

The Honest Marketing Movement has launched! Holly Mann, the marketer and SEO expert that authored “Honest Riches” recently started www.HonestMarketingMovement.com to provide a central point for internet marketers that are commited to being successfull without the scamming and deception sometimes associated with the online direct sales model. If you know or know of Holly, then you’ll agree that there is no one better to model for scam free marketing.

Holly made a name for herself by writing a non-hype guide to internet marketing, and using her SEO skills to rank for keywords associated with “The Rich Jerk”. She was able to beat him without the obnoxious sales letters and tactics.

She is offering a free blog over at the Honest Marketing site-and knowing her, besides the great community there will be some SEO value to be had. I just signed up, so I’ll keep you posted about my blog there.

Person 1: Build your business around your hobbies and interests-your passions will drive your business!

Person 2: Look for viable markets chock full of customers. Sell things to these customers! Read more »

Short Term Vs. Long Term Thinking

There is an interesting discussion going on over at the warrior forum-here-about a technique that is normally taught to new affiliate marketers, and its viability. In a nut shell, the OP is wondering why so many people do single page blogs(presumably free), and aim articles at them, instead of building larger and(presumably) more effective virtual real estate.

It’s a good question, and despite which side of the business model you fall on, it’s worth considering all the answers. Read more »

Apparently, Taking Action is The Key

There was a discussion started on my favorite marketing forum about how the key to IM success is to take action. Whenever I hear this statement, and I hear it a lot, my first instinct is to agree. I do think that one of  the major stepping stones between people and success is the ability to get started. But is it the main thing? Read more »
